Let’s Yoga
Mission
Let’s Yoga aims to provide friendly, fun and fulfilling yoga workshops to people with additional needs whilst applying an Occupational Therapy perspective. Workshops always involve being playful and having a laugh; developing self acceptance; connecting the mind, body and breath; and socialising within an inclusive community. Let’s Yoga has a great emphasis on empowering participants to confidently continue these skills in their everyday routines to live with inner peace.
Workshops achieve this by:
- Applying therapeutic movement principles to well known yoga postures that are accessible for each individual;
- Offering mindfulness strategies, visualisations and guided relaxations;
- Practising calming and regulating sensory or emotional modulation techniques;
- Encouraging use of social skills and being a part of Perth’s health community;
- Incorporating creative and playful games or activities;
- Most importantly Let’s Yoga is person centred and driven to ensure that all participants needs are met and happiness is achieved.
